Privacy notice
Last updated: 13 October 2026
To book your travel, I need some personal information about you and the people travelling with you. This notice explains what I collect, why, who I share it with, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). If anything is unclear, please shout.

- Dimension Travel (Pty) Ltd, trading as Dimension Travel
- Registration number
- 2018/250050/07
- Information Officer
- Pieter Bezuidenhout
- Address
- 7 Morester Street, Glen Marais, Kempton Park, Gauteng, 1619
- pieter@dimensiontravel.co.za

2. What information I collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and physical address.
- Travel details: destinations, dates, who is travelling, room and meal preferences, and budget.
- Identity and travel documents: full names as in passports, dates of birth, passport numbers and expiry dates, nationality, and visa details. Airlines, hotels and border authorities require these.
- Information about children travelling: names, dates of birth and passport details of minors, provided by a parent or guardian.
- Special requests: dietary needs, mobility or medical assistance, and similar requests. I only collect these when you ask me to arrange something, and only pass them to the suppliers who need them.
- Payment records: invoices and proof of payment. Payments are made by EFT, and I do not store card numbers.
- Messages: our WhatsApp chats and emails about your trip.
3. Why I use it
- To prepare quotes and give you travel advice.
- To make, change and manage your bookings, issue tickets and send your travel documents.
- To help with visas, travel insurance and special assistance when you ask me to.
- To stay in touch while you travel, so I can help if plans change.
- To keep financial and tax records as the law requires.
- To send you travel specials, but only if you have asked for them (see section 6).
4. Who I share it with
I only share what is needed to arrange your trip, with:
- Airlines and airline ticketing partners.
- Hotels, resorts, tour operators, cruise lines, car hire and transfer companies.
- Travel insurers, when you take out cover through me.
- Embassies, visa services and border authorities, when you ask me to help with a visa or when the law requires it.
- My accountant and auditors, for financial records.
Many of these suppliers are outside South Africa, so your information may be sent to other countries to make your booking. POPIA allows this where it is needed to carry out the booking you asked for. I do not sell your information to anyone.
5. The website and WhatsApp
This website does not ask you to create an account and does not collect information through hidden tracking. When you use the enquiry form or an "Enquire" button, your details are not stored on the website. They open a WhatsApp message to me, which you can check and edit before you send it. WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own privacy policy.
6. Specials and marketing
I only send you specials and travel news if you ask for them or have booked with me before. Every message lets you opt out, or you can simply reply "STOP" or tell me, and I will remove you straight away.
7. How long I keep it
I keep booking and payment records for at least five years, as South African tax law requires. Other information is kept only for as long as it is useful for your bookings, or until you ask me to delete it, unless the law requires me to keep it.
8. How I protect it
I keep your information on password-protected devices and accounts, share it only with suppliers who need it, and never ask for card details over WhatsApp or email.
9. Your rights
Under POPIA you can:
- Ask what personal information I hold about you, and request a copy.
- Ask me to correct or update it.
- Ask me to delete it, where I am not required to keep it.
- Object to me using it, including for specials.
- Complain to the Information Regulator.
To do any of these, email pieter@dimensiontravel.co.za or WhatsApp +27 64 508 2553. I may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are not happy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also contact the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
10. Changes to this notice
I may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
